Accessories always help to pull an outfit together, which is why I am a sucker for a nice shoe, complementary jewelry, and purses! Having a variety of fall purses styles can help to change up a look very easily without much effort. And as Fall is in full swing, I wanted to share 5 Must Have Purses for Fall. These are purses that have been on the trend forecast and that I currently own (and will be expanding my collection of).
First up, we have the puffy bag! These bags have been having their moment for the past year, from Bottega Veneta’s Cassette Bag to Coach’s Pillow Tabby that went semi viral earlier this year (in which the brand made the right decision to restock). These purse styles give off a cozy feel which complement the Fall season and can really help to elevate an otherwise casual look!
Although most bags can be classified as a top handle if they have any sort of handle on top, this section is dedicated to those that have a bit more structure to them. These are perfect for wearing without the crossbody strap so the more structured, the better! I love my Gucci Horsebit Top Handle that I purchased earlier this year, shown here. I’m finding it to be even more versatile than I originally expected, so, a win!
The oversized tote has taken the F/W 2021 scene by storm. I usually stay away from very large bags, but an oversized tote is one that can be transformed to work for a variety of looks, whether for work or for play. The Beis Work Tote is a perfect example of one that works well for more professional settings but can be repurposed for a non corporate look. The Tote Bag by Marc Jacobs is one that looks really good with street style outfits!
Faux croc will always be a moment, but in Fall, it really shines and takes center stage. There are so many different options and styles that can fit different style aesthetics. I usually veer towards more structured purses like this one by Mango. But lately my eye has been loving the color variations like this baby blue one by Bershka at Asos.
Bottega Veneta really set the trend with their very oversized clutch last year. So much so, that it’s still having its rightfully deserved spotlight now. There are so many beautiful (and reasonably priced) options out there. These purse style elevate any look. But I especially love them when I see it paired with a more casual look, such as a jeans, bodysuit, and a blazer. It’s a classic silhouette that doesn’t feel too busy and still gives off a luxurious vibe.
