5 Items You Should Have in Your Closet

There are just certain things that you need in your closet to help making dress up a bit more easier. And in this post, I’ll be sharing the 5 items you should have in your closet!

White Tee

Having this in your closet will save you so much energy and time on those days that you’re stuck on what to wear. The thing about a white tee is that it can be paired with basically anything and won’t really take away from the overall look. I’m a firm believer that a white tee can definitely be dressed up to be a bit more semi casual. Below are some great options that’ll last you:

Tailored Pants

You know how I said a white tee can pretty much go with anything? It’s almost the same for a pair of tailored pants. I say this because these pants in this post can definitely be worn in so many different ways. Here, I gave it a more relaxed look with the mules and the tied up button down. But I easily could have elevated it with high heels and a blazer, or a crop top, or a very fancy top. Or I can dress it down with the white tee and some sneakers, or some boots. The possibilities truly are endless which is why I always gravitate towards this style of pant:

Oversized Blazer

I mentioned in a recent IGTV video that an oversized blazer instantly makes a look feel a bit more chic. The key is to only go one size up from your original size. You could perhaps get away with 2, but anything more than that will have you looking frumpy and the goal is to look put together. I love wearing an oversized blazer when I’m wearing shorts, for some reason it helps me to feel a bit more balanced, like I did in this post. But overall, it’s a good staple to keep on hand:

Crossbody Purse

I love crossbody purses. I actually think those are the only type of purses I own. Because to me, they are extremely versatile. I have different colors and the one shown above is a recent purchase that has been on rotation when I’ve gone out the house. I love the fact that I can convert it to either a handle bag or across my body, so it feels like I’m getting more bang for my buck. Below are some options that can go with different looks:

Mid Heeled Sandals

I think it’s always a safe bet to have something that’s in between a high heel and a flat. For me, that is a mid heel sandal. These are a perfect combination of semi casual and is usually what I gravitate towards when I’m in a rush and can’t be bothered with trying to figure out what shoe to wear. I have had this pair from the Who What Wear collection for the longest and they have withstood the test of time. Below are some other options that are perfect to complete a look:
