I’m a sucker for a unique jewelry. I just like pieces that have some character to them and can stand out in the most subtle way possible. Add on being WOC owned, it’s a wrap! For this post, I’ll be sharing a few WOC owned jewelry brands that we should be most definitely be patronizing with our coin, as they continue to provide beautiful pieces for every type of woman.
I came across this brand in magazine article when I was researching a black owned jewelry brands to shop at. As soon as I saw the pieces on their site, I was in love! And so was everyone else because most of their stock was sold out. BUT, they continue to restock every week with new pieces, so you’re sure to find something that you’ll love! This jewelry brand is the baby of a fellow blogger, Argineh Danelian. What first caught my eye was her watermelon earrings that I now proudly own (if you know my obsession with watermelon, you’d understand how hype I was). Her pieces are all handmade and frequently feature fruit themes and stunning ornate elements.
I heard about this brand when I was on a random Instagram search. The pieces remind me of the 90s and things that I would find in my mom’s jewelry box when I was playing dress up. They also sell rhinestoned bras and if I could somehow could come up with a bomb outfit for it, I would most definitely buy.
Back in December 2019, I attended a flea market at Grand Central Market. It featured various small businesses, and my eyes instantly gravitated towards this brand because of the plethora of earring options that was displayed. The face earring in these photos are from this brand as well (which I believe she mentioned was one of a kind).
When I was looking for a pair of not so simple medium sized gold hoops, I came across this brand and loved the simplicity of the pieces. There are times where the simple with a hint of uniqueness really goes a long way.
I love the pieces that this brand offers. They incorporate a lot of resin, which is a material that I’ve grown to love especially in earrings. The earring collection especially caters to every type of style, from colorful to classic to simplistic.
